Trekking through the heart of Kyrgyzstan while exploring the nomadic culture.
This 7-day trekking journey takes you into the raw and authentic heart of Kyrgyzstan – where high mountain passes, alpine lakes, and nomadic traditions shape everyday life. Beginning in Bishkek, the road leads to the southern shore of Issyk-Kul, through colorful canyons and open landscapes. You’ll spend your nights in traditional yurts, listen to folk music by the fire, witness the ancient art of eagle hunting, and share homemade dinners with Kyrgyz, Dungan, and Uyghur families. This is not just a trek — it’s a living cultural experience.
The adventure reaches its peak in the Tien Shan mountains as you cross the dramatic Ala-Kul Pass (3,900 m) and stand above the turquoise waters of Ala-Kul Lake. Descending on horseback into the hot springs of Altyn Arashan, hiking through wild gorges, and riding horses in Chon-Kemin Valley, you’ll experience Kyrgyzstan the way nomads have for centuries — close to nature, guided by tradition, and surrounded by silence, peaks, and endless skies.
